Don't believe the reviewers that liken this to a poor mans 'DaVinci Code'-it actually has more ideas and dense with adventure. Along with Clive Cussler and a few others, I get my fill of big boy adventure. Even though I have read all of James Rollins books, I consider them nothing more than a guilty pleasue.

And typical of Rollins work, there is the occasional howler of a factual error (e.g., Dante wrote in vernacular Italian, not Latin). The science is speculative at best (ancient Egyptians discovered superconductors). It treads similar ground to the Da Vinci Code, however it is more action-packed. when science and religion unite to unleash a horror not seen since the beginning of time.
